One member of the iprogress team got to practice her zombie apocalypse survival skills last weekend when hit game 2.8 hours later brought it’s unique zombie gore movie action to Liverpool.
The game, which is the brainchild of Bristol game designers SlingShot, started at a secret location near the old Heritage Market and traversed the city, finishing with a zombie disco located on the other side of town.
As a player your aim is to find the small pockets of survivors hiding out at different locations throughout the city in order to gather clues on the whereabouts of resistance HQ – the last safe place in the city (and home of the zombie disco), whilst of course avoiding the hoards of bloodthirsty undead who want to eat your flesh!
The game, which coincided with Liverpool Sound City, seemed perfectly suited to the old warehouses, dense streets and derelict buildings that form part of Liverpool’s identity, and was definitely worth the ankle pain that proceeded running around on concrete pavements in converse shoes.
